Why us

Why us: the due-diligence file a practice manager would assemble on a supplier, assembled by the supplier

A law firm checks its suppliers, and it should check us. So instead of a page of reasons, here is the file: who we are, how we are registered, who does the work, the terms, what the firm owns, what it pays, what we know about the rules, what evidence exists, and where we fall short. Every line has a way to verify it that does not involve taking our word. If a line cannot be verified, it is not on this page.

01

Trading name

Web Design for Solicitors, a Webso Digital service.

Verify: The footer of every page, and websodigital.com.

Legal name and address

Webso Digital, 110 Rhosddu Road, Wrexham LL11 2NG.

Verify: The footer; the same address on every site we run.

Telephone

07591 018609, answered by the person who builds the sites.

Verify: Ring it.

02

Regulation and data

ICO registration

ZC207002. Enquiries and client data are handled under UK GDPR.

Verify: The ICO's public register, searched by number.

Access we ask for

The firm's website and hosting, its Google accounts and Search Console. Never the SRA account, the case-management system or client files.

Verify: The list of what we need, sent before any work starts.

03

Who does the work

The person

Daniel Stoychev, developer and SEO specialist. Builds the site, sets up the office profiles, reads Search Console, writes the monthly report, answers the phone.

Verify: The about page, LinkedIn, and the phone number above.

Account managers

None. The firm speaks to the person doing the work, every time.

Verify: Ask for one.

Writing

Written here after a call with the fee earner; the firm checks every page. Nothing machine-written, nothing copied from another firm.

Verify: Read any page on this site, then read the same page on another agency's site.

04

Terms

Minimum

3 months on the retainer, then month by month with a month's notice. A website build is a one-off with no retainer attached.

Verify: The pricing page and the quote.

Set-up fee

None. The audit is the set-up and it is free.

Verify: The pricing page.

Guarantees

None on positions or enquiries. The work is listed and the numbers are shown; a promise of page one is a promise about Google, which nobody can make.

Verify: Every FAQ on this site says the same thing.

05

Ownership

The domain

Stays in the firm's name. We never move a domain into our own account.

Verify: The firm's own registrar account: the domain never leaves it.

The site and its content

The firm's, from the day it goes live. It can be moved to any host at any time, because it runs on nothing rented.

Verify: The hosting and care terms on the pricing page.

Profiles and reviews

The firm's Google accounts, the firm's reviews. If the firm stops, nothing is withheld and nothing is deleted.

Verify: The 'what happens if we stop' answer on the SEO page.

06

Pricing

Published

Websites from £1,200, the Practice site £2,400, monthly SEO from £399, hosting and care £159 a year, the profile build £200. The same for every firm.

Verify: The pricing page, and the quote, which will match it.

Advertising spend

Paid by the firm to Google directly. Never passed through us, never marked up.

Verify: The Google Ads page.

07

Regulatory awareness

The Transparency Rules

We build the price and service pages, the badge and the complaints page the rules describe. The figures are the firm's, the COLP confirms the wording, and we keep a dated copy of each version.

Verify: The SRA transparency checklist on this site.

What we are not

The firm's compliance adviser. The rules and the SRA's guidance are the reference, not us.

Verify: It is written on the pricing page, the checklist and the guide.

08

Evidence

Our own sites

We run the sites listed below ourselves, on the same stack and to the same method we sell. They show we build what we describe and that it loads, indexes and passes the checks. They do not prove rankings or enquiries for any firm, and we do not claim that.

Verify: Open any of them; run any of them through PageSpeed Insights or Quence.

Client figures

Two trade businesses so far, with Google's own numbers and the caveats attached. No law firm figures yet, and the results page says so.

Verify: The results page.

09

Limits

Capacity

One person, so a small number of firms at a time, one per town per practice area. Towns get taken and we say so.

Verify: Put the town on the quote form; the reply says free or taken.

Speed

A site takes four to six weeks, most of it gathering the fees, the biographies and the photographs. The retainer shows nothing meaningful in month one.

Verify: The timeline on the home page.

Hours

Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:30. No 24-hour desk, no ticket queue.

Verify: The footer.

The short version

One person suits a small firm, and it is not for everyone

A firm with a handful of fee earners does not need a layer of people between it and the person building its site; it needs the site built properly, the fee pages right, the office in the map, and someone to ring. That is the whole offer, and it is why the prices are on the page and the town is protected. A firm that wants a team, a brand project or a media budget needs a different supplier, and the audit will say so rather than sell you the wrong thing. The results we can show are on the results page, the towns rule is on the areas page, and the person is on the about page.

Questions partners ask before instructing us

Why would a firm choose one person over an agency?

Because the person who takes the brief writes the pages, builds the site and reads the numbers, and the firm can ring them. An agency puts an account manager between the firm and the work, charges for the layer, and rotates the people behind it. For a firm of two to fifteen fee earners the layer buys nothing.

And when is one person the wrong choice?

When the firm wants a team on call, a project with several workstreams running at once, a rebrand with a design agency's process, or a national campaign with a media budget. We say so in the audit and suggest the kind of supplier that fits.

What if something happens to you?

The site is static, on the firm's domain, with nothing rented; any competent developer can host and edit it. The firm holds its own Google accounts. The hosting runs on our servers with daily backups, and the firm can take a copy at any time.

Can we speak to a client?

We do not hand out client details, for the same reason we do not publish the list of taken towns. What we can show is on the results page, with sources, and the sites we run ourselves are open to anyone.

Check whether your town is free

Send the firm's site and the town. The reply, within one working day, says in writing whether the town is open for your practice area, with the audit and a fixed price.
